Question 5: How did you attract/address your audience?

Click here to see our horror with a voice over explaining why we made certain decisions within our horror film to make it so successful. Giving reasons.
In my own personal opinion I believe that people as well as our target audience should go and view my horror film, this is because it is not you average, stereotypical horror film. Although it conforms the conventions of a horror film, it does try to challenge it, this decision was made so that the film could stand out amongst others.

For example I watch a previous film in the cinema's called Mama (2013 Andrés Muschietti) it is very typical as it is what you expect in horror a family is being tortured by something that is dead and trying to gain something that they are unable to gain so they cause havoc amongst the innocent whereas in our film the one who is causing havoc is someone you would not expect the innocent is causing mayhem towards those who have done wrong, sort of how God will judge us on judgement day.

Another film that is sort of the same as our film that I believe was very successful was The Conjuring (2013 James Wan) The storyline is that a loving family move somewhere new and their house is being possessed however the twist is that the thing possessing the house takes over the most innocent one in the family and makes them cause the havoc towards others. This is different to our film but similar at the same time. I do believe that our film is more successful as horror films come into the industry one by one and take over the Box Office, it is our films turn to do so, especially with the storyline we have developed and put so much hard work into.

The final example I am going to use is The Blair Witch Project, which is what actually inspired us to use to the hand held camera technique throughout our film however we decided to add camera angles instead of constantly holding the camera so it looked natural, like a found footage. The Blair Witch Project also done the same thing, I don't believe our horror film will be as successful as the Blair Witch however I do believe as good as it.
