Evaluation

My group and myself attempted to stay as faithful as we could in the making of our version of the Britney Spears - 'Hit me baby', however through the making we remember that we wasn't meant to copy everything single detail and so we added all our own individual traits to make it our own and show that it was ours. We decided as a team that we would change certain things but we all had different things we wanted to change so we had to talk it out and see if it was possible, so we made changes to the location to make it not exact to the original then we changed a few dance moves and moved things around whilst editing. This was done so we could see our personalities coming through. I think it did improve the video because it wasn't exact to the original however we did have some thing we could have improved on that didn't make the video successful this was the dancing. It was sort of half hearted and not at all energetic compared to the original Britney.

We had multiple problems on more than one occasion. The main problem that kept coming up more than once was the time schedule because everyone had different time tables and we had an SL6 student meaning it was longer travel making it more different to record especially as the cast members where not part of our Media Class and some of us would have to miss lessons' so that we could complete the filming meaning we would have to catch up on work. Personally I don't think that I could or would change any aspects of our planning or production.

Feedback

1.      Katrina: I liked the way the lip-syncing was matched to the actual song and the camera angles were really good.

2.      Sephora: I enjoyed majority of the video and the choreography of the dancers.

3.      Joanna: We could have used a wider variety of camera shots.

4.      Joyce: There was an overlapping of sound making it hard for us to focus on the actual video itself.

One of our Media Studies teachers Miss Cullen said that the framing of the teacher Miss Faith that was included in a dance scene was a good idea, we had done things differently to the actual video and then the other group, making the video our own/ The acting and the mannerism of our Britney in comparison to the other Britney was wonderful. The lip-syncing was carried out well and matched well. There were a few good editing choices, with a few good location making it different from the real one. A steady camera, and a good casting choice of Britney.
The dancing came off a bit half-hearted compared to how energetic the real Britney video was and with the other group as well. Some of the location could have been chosen a bit better, their were repetitive shots and the long shots were poorly framed. Could have included a better variety of camera angles and shots.

I wouldn't change a thing about the way we created our film as it was carried the way we thought it would be. However one thing I would change is the dancing, making it more energetic.
